Our Speech Pathologists are Texas Licensed and ASHA certified. speech pathology We have an exceptional team of experienced and professional Speech Language Pathologists. We have been in business sinch May of 2000.
Suzanne is the owner of The Speech House and has been an Speech Language Pathologist since 1983. She specializes in working with children who have social pragmatic communication disorder, as well as those with High Functioning ASD. She has training in techniques such as PROMPT and PECS. Suzanne and her staff work tirelessly, going the extra mile, to provide the highest quality services available to children and families. Suzanne has worked in a variety of settings including schools, hospital, rehab centers, and home health. She feels the private practice setting has been the most rewarding due to the progress clients make with personalized services.
Debbie received her BS and MS degrees from Baylor University. She has worked in the public school and private practice settings. She has worked with a variety of communication disorders. She has been actively involved in a number of child oriented volunteer programs: Tyler Day Nursery and Discovery Science Place as a Junior League Member, Sunday school classes, VBS, Women’s Symphony League Kinderkonzert, Lil’ Wrangler’s Round-Up (for pediatric cancer survivors, Tyler’s Annual Cattle Baron’s Gala).
Amy graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Amy’s main clinical interests are in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and augmentative communication. Amy is certified in the Picture Exchange Communication Program (PECS is a scientifically proven augmentative training package that allows individuals with communication deficits to learn to initiate and develop functional communication). She is also trained in Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT is a system that provides input to the oral musculature through touch, pressure, and specific placements to assist in the refinement of articulation).
Mindy worked as a school based speech therapist for many years until she retired from public education. She has extensive knowledge about school based speech therapy services and is a great resource for our families for navigating school based services. She has contracted with Home Health and our clinic over the years.
Sheri is our office manager. She works tirelessly to keep our office running efficiently. In her spare time she caters, bakes, and is a "Super-Grandma".
